The Latest WETV Series : Kaget Nikah

The latest web series, Kaget Nikah, can be watched via streaming platforms since Thursday, December 23, 2021. The series raises the issue of virginity, which is still considered taboo by some Indonesians. The storyline is packed with the romantic comedy genre.

Quoted from Kapanlagi.com, Vemmy Sagita as the director of Kaget Nikah, revealed the concept of this series' story. "The concept of this serial story idea came from a series that she watched when she was in elementary school. There was an old film that stuck in my head. The story is about a woman who wants to get married. Before getting married, she fell on a bicycle. After her virginity is lost, the family panics and makes it misunderstood. This story is packaged more contemporary with comedy spices," said Vemmy in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, Thursday (16/12/2021).

Kaget Nikah tells the story of Lalita as Aurora Ribero and Kevin Julio as Andre, who is required to marry at a young age. Lalita's life was initially perfect. She has a good friend and a dream boyfriend. Lalita was promised vacation to Alaska by her parents on her 19th birthday.

Everything changed when Lalita's older sister (Carissa) married. Lalita's older sister's marriage was only a day old and had to end because Carissa's mother-in-law knows Carissa is no longer a virgin. The incident made her parents curb Lalita's life. Lalita's birthday plans to Alaska were changed to a vacation to the top, Bogor.

In Bogor, Lalita meets Andre, the son of her father's co-worker. When her friends prepare a surprise birthday party for her, Lalita gets into an accident. Andre came to help him, but Andre's good intentions seem to have been interpreted differently by the residents. They thought Andre and Lalita were immoral. Because of that, Lalita and Andre's parents had no choice but to marry off their two children.

Kaget Nikah is played by young actor and actress such as Kevin Julio, Aurora Ribero, Steffi Zamora, Fero Walandaouw, and Raisya Bawazier. The series has ten episodes and airs every Thursday at 18:00 on WeTV and iFlix.
