Merry Riana Mimpi Sejuta Dolar

Merry Riana is a successful young female businessman, writer, and motivator. Her life story is told in the movie “Merry Riana (Mimpi Sejuta Dolar), adapted from her book of the same name. The film visualizes how she struggles to survive the difficulties of life and becomes successful.

The riots that took place in Jakarta and other major cities in Indonesia in May 1998 made Merry Riana forced to flee to Singapore. Merry Riana’s father decides to send his son to Singapore for fear of being insecure. Merry Riana goes along with the money that only enough to buy food for five days. Fortunately, she met his best friend, Irene, who wanted to go to a university that was there as well. With the help of Irene, Merry can stay in the dorm and be admitted to one of the best colleges there. But, it’s all-new can be when Merry pays $40.000. The only hope is to take a student loan, which can only be obtained if Merry has a guarantor. Later, Merry meets her senior, Alva. He is a very computation person and gave all sorts of conditions before finally agreeing to help Merry. He also told Merry to find an odd job. Merry realized that she must be successful ASAP. All sorts of employment she worked on, ranging from spreading online business brochures to playing high-risk stocks. The economic condition also went down. The love occurs when Alva expresses his feelings, while Merry knows that Irene is in love with Alva.

Chelsea Islan’s acting (Merry Riana) in this film was great. She was able to play the role of Merry Riana very well. However, as Merry Riana Mimpi Sejuta Dollar, the film is supposed to be a struggle for the first million dollars. The film, however, is a love story between Merry and Alva. Spectators will be more likely to see that this is a romance film, not an inspiring film to be expected.

The most basic advice for the film may be to note the story of Merry Riana, not his love story. The director thought that the film would be a success due to her love story like the film Habibie-Ainun who raised the love story. But this story of Merry Riana is different, and it should not be a love story. But in the end, it’s still because it’s wrapped neatly, the movie still looks good to watch. Many of these Merry Riana’s stories can be taken. One of them does not easily give up, remain optimistic about the same option that we have chosen.
